Globally-Accessible Hearing Loss Prevention Training
When we clock into work, we expect a safe environment in which to complete our tasks (and importantly, to collect our paycheck). Unfortunately, millions of workers are faced with serious hazards every day. Hearing health is jeopardized by loud work environments, which leads to one of the most prevalent preventable public health issue worldwide: occupational noise-induced hearing loss.
In this new era of global health and preventative care, our virtual CAOHC hearing conservation courses have found themselves uniquely positioned to address this global issue. Access to training is not bound by time zone or even country, since the course is entirely online. For the past 5 years we have had students from all 50 US states as well as 12 countries and territories successfully complete the certification training . We proudly display the map below showing Earmark’s global reach for this new form of accessible education.
Earmark has trained CAOHC students from all 50 US states (including Hawaii and Alaska) as well as 12 countries and territories including: Nigeria, Switzerland, Morocco, Kenya, Trinidad and Tobago, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Philippines, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
Traditionally, attending these courses required significant travel and lodging expenses, as well as time away from work. In the past, students in remote US locations - Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, etc - would have to decide whether receiving the certification was worth the significant funds and time - multiple times more than their colleagues from the continental US states. Our international students face added burden with language, time zone, and travel permits. By breaking down these barriers, we like to imagine all the workers’ ears which we are indirectly protecting by supporting these clinicians and safety professionals around the globe.
But how do virtual courses compare to traditional in-person courses? We are biased, so don’t take our word for it… here is a small sampling of the feedback we’ve been receiving from our international attendees:
Now with 5 years of experience conducting virtual CAOHC courses - over 150 completed to date - we have developed a streamlined and effective program to meet the learning needs of our students. If you’re in need of hearing conservation training and have been worried about the travel time or expense of attending a course, may I invite you to an online course?
For the first time ever, we are offering a PUBLIC promo code: CAOHCNICKELBACK
It expires on 5/31/2025, so don’t sleep on this opportunity!
I look forward to seeing you from the comfort of your own home (and time zone)!
Sincerely,
Frank Wartinger, AuD
